There are 4 white president's
faces carved into the sacred black
hills. The sacred name for the Black Hills in
Lakota translates to
"The Heart of Everything That Is"! It always
makes me smile when the
tv news does a story on kids spraying graffiti
or disacrating gravestones.
How can they even hope to reach the children if
their own actions are
irresponsible or childish. By carving 4 white
faces into the sacred Black
Hills they are disacrating this holy place and
carving graffiti into
Grandmother's Heart. The US Government calls
this place the "Shrine of
Democracy", I call it the "Shrine of
Hypocracy".
The courts made it the government put many
millions of dollars into an
account for a settlement with the Lakota Nation
because the Lakota still refuse
to sell those sacred hills. Meanwhile, in a few
years, the mining companies will
take out many times the settlement amount!
